This site exists as a free promotional opportunity for artists who create music in the solo piano/new age piano musical genre. Many thousands of people visit this site each week, seeking to hear precisely this type of music. Some, of course, are only interested in free music. Others are willing to buy CDs or single track downloads when they hear stuff they like. Having your music presented here can be a great tool for additional exposure.

There is no cost to have your music included here. You don't pay us, and we don't pay you. For this reason (because publishers don't like arrangements where no money is exchanged), we only consider original compositions or public domain material...no cover songs.

The amount of traffic to your site can vary greatly. No one can know ahead of time how you may or may not directly benefit, other than from significant exposure. However, over the years, we've heard from many artists who've been very pleased with the results of their involvement here. Here is a recent, unsolicited note from a pianist (dated 9/08):

Hi Chuck! I must say that I HAVE been getting quite a number of hits to my CD Baby page. And some sales as well! Thanks so much for promoting my music on your site. I have just finished two long format CD's and I am finishing up a Christmas CD. I will let you know when that is retail-ready.
